Mentha oil down by (Rs 15.20 to Rs 1,348 per kg) 1.12% on profit-booking

Mentha essential oil prices moved down by Rs 15. 20 to Rs 1, 348 for each kg in futures trade today on profit-booking by investors, influenced by sluggish demand in the spot market among adequate stock availability.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, Dec mentha oil fell by Rs 15. 20, or 1. 12%, in order to Rs 1, 348 per kg in 14 lots.

The actual October contract declined by Rs 12, or 0. 89%, in order to Rs 1, 341. 10 per kg in 450 plenty.

Marketmen said profit-booking by speculators and a fall sought after in the spot market, coupled with the adequate shares position, mainly pulled down mentha oil futures prices.
