Jeera costs rose by Rs 167 cent to Rs 16, 112 per quintal in futures trade today supported with a firm spot market trend amid thin arrivals from producing regions.
At the actual National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, jeera for delivery in October rose through Rs 167, or 1. 05% to Rs 16, 112 per quintal by having an open interest of 16, 016 lots.
Similarly, the spice for September 30 days gained Rs 154, or 0. 99%, to Rs 15, 645 per quintal within 13, 320 lots.
Market analysts said pick-up in spot demand and slim arrivals from producing regions, mainly influenced jeera prices at futures trade right here.
