Cardamom rises 1.03% on strong demand

Buoyed by strong demand within the spot markets, cardamom prices rose further by Rs 7. 20 to Rs seven hundred. 50 per kg in futures trade today on brisk buying by investors.

Besides, tight stocks in the spot markets also influenced cardamom prices from futures trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, September cardamom gained Rs 7. 20, or even 1. 03% to Rs 700. 50 per kg with trading volume associated with 141 lots, while October delivery rose by Rs 6. 10, or 0. 80% in order to Rs 768. 20 per kg having a business volume of 158 plenty.

The November contract also rose Rs 3. 90, or 0. 47% in order to Rs 818 per kg, with a turnover of 26 lots.

Traders stated rising demand in spot market against restricted supply from producing regions, mainly resulted in the upsurge in cardamom futures prices.
