Anna Hazare tem wants special session to pass Lokpal

Team Anna today hoped how the government will convene a special session of Parliament to pass the Lokpal Bill inside a month's time.

Team member and senior lawyer Prashant Bhushan said the federal government has told them that it would include all of the three issues in the Bill and send it towards the Standing Committee concerned.

"We hope that the government convenes a unique session of Parliament within a month's time in order to pass Lokpal Bill, " he said in Ramlila Maidan, min's after Anna Hazare ended his fast.

"By that point, we hope that the Standing Committee also completes its work so the Bill can be passed, " the Supreme Courtroom lawyer said.

Asked about their stand on their own government version of Lokpal Bill, Bhushan said there isn't any point in demanding its withdrawal now as Parliament has agreed in-principle on three issues raised through the Team Anna.

Meanwhile, activist and another team fellow member Medha Patkar dismissed suggestions that Team Anna had been divided.

"We don't have any differences among all of us. The reports that I and Prashant Bhushan visited negotiate with the government because we are reasonable are totally untrue, " she said.

"First of that day it was decided that I and Prashant Bhushan goes as different people engaged in different activities, inch she said.

Patkar said she would not have joined the actual negotiating team if she had any inclination it will lead to speculation about differences among the actual members.

"Our views are very clear. We consider decisions unitedly. We consider Arvind and his group as real core team, " Patkar said.
