Crude palm oil futures down by Rs 6.20 per kg on weak overseas cues

Raw palm oil prices fell by Rs 6. 20 for each kg in futures trade today upon selling by speculators amid adequate shares.

Crude palm oil for October shipping fell by Rs 6. 20, or even 1. 23%, to Rs 496. eighty per 10 kg, with a trade amount of 31 lots.

The oil prices with regard to delivery in September declined by Rs 3, or even 0. 59%, to Rs 500 for each 10 kg, with a trading amount of 14 lots.

The November contract eased through Rs 1. 60, or 0. 32%, in order to Rs 501. 40 per 10 kg, by having an open interest of one lot.

Traders said selling by speculators among a weakening overseas trend mainly resulted in the fall in crude palm oil prices within the futures trade.

In Malaysia, palm essential oil in December-delivery declined by 0. 80% in order to 3, 043 ringgit ($978) a tonne about the Malaysia Derivatives Exchange.
