Tata Capital today said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the joint venture, Groupe Aeroplan Inc., a Canadian loyalty marketing company, to launch a multi-party coalition loyalty to India.
"Consumerism India has grown many during the past decade, and offers significant potential for a coalition loyalty program. The realization of this potential requires an established global player who has the expertise and proven experience in managing successful loyalty programs through geography, "Tata Capital Managing Director and CEO Praveen P Kadla said.
The loyalty program is based on the lines of nectar, which is the loyalty program Groupe Aeroplan coalition of the United Kingdom and Italy.
The program maintains the original aims of "Train," India's first multi-brand coalition loyalty program, which was launched by Tata Sons in 2006, the statement said.
Groupe Aeroplan is already in talks with several companies both in and outside the Tata Group, to join its frequent flyer program Groupe Aeroplan CEO (USA and Asia-Pacific), said Jeff Balagna.
"We have tremendous confidence in the Indian market and its growth potential. We also expect to make some interesting announcements in the near future," President and CEO of Groupe Aeroplan (India), Akash Sahai said.
