Fifteen-year-old Sukrity at the moment became the proud recipient of the 1 millionth unique identification quantity -- Aadhaar.
With Sukriti, who lives in North Tripura, the government has successfully certain barred Aadhaar quantity to 10 lakh residents of the terrain since September 29 carry on time, whilst the basic quantity was issued.
"It took us virtually six weeks to annoy 1 lakh enrolments. However, it has taken us almost the same schedule to ramp up from 1 lakh to 1 million Aadhaar enrolments. This achievement is an auspicious goal, en-route to our goal of issuing 600 million Aadhaar statistics in the subsequently four years," Unique Identification Authority of India Chairman Nandan Nilekani thought in a statement.
Interestingly, the youngest person to receive the Aadhaar quantity was a 13-day-old baby while the oldest person to receive the same was 103 years old.
"Enrolment in place of the Aadhaar quantity will accelerate advance in the imminent weeks, as more registrars arise enrolling residents," UIDAI Director General and Mission Director R S Sharma thought.
So far, on 60 registrars together with many banks maintain signed MoUs with the UIDAI, and more than 15 of these registrars maintain begun enrolments.
