Story

Venkatarathnam Naidu (Pawan Kalyan), son of Suhasini and step son of Nagineedu calls himself as Gabbar Singh after liking the smoothness from Sholay. He turns as a cop as well as gets posted to his hometown Kondaveedu. Siddhappa Naidu (Abhimanyu Singh) is really a local goon in the village who aspires to show politician and finally it leads to the rivalry between your two. Meanwhile, the cop sees a village girl Bhagyalakshmi (Shruti Haasan) and falls on her. Siddappa will put on his efforts and becomes Ajay, Gabbar Singh step bother his side. So how exactly does Gabbar Singh solve all the issues and fights with Siddhappa is crux from the story.

Performances

Pawan Kalyan is amazing and fantabulous. He or she delivered power packed punch liners with such relieve. His screen presence as usual is too great. Power Star’s comic timing, fights, mass dances mannerisms would be the highlights and fans would be delighted to view him.

Shruti Haasan is gorgeous as village woman Bhagya Lakshmi. She is convincing but the makers should have taken care on her dubbing.

Ajay and Rao Ramesh tend to be brief yet leaves their mark. Ali as constable Samba offers rib tickling moments, Brahmanandam as Recovery Agent Ranjith Kumar is actually hilarious, Suhasini and Nagineedu are apt, Abhimanyu Singh is actually mediocre. Happy Days fame Gayatri is okay whilst Prabhas Reddy, Fish Venkat are impressive. Others do their bit required.

Technical Analysis

Jayanan Vincent cinematography is on the top notch, the film looked quite colorful and songs are captured beautifully within the picturesque locales of Switzerland. Devi Sri Prasad’s music is ear-pleasing and also the background score is truly an asset. He rocked the show and special mention for that choreographers, who did a very good job. Screenplay is at fast pace in the first half but might have been better in the second half. Dialogues are sharp and had the needed punch. Editing is nice, Direction is good. Parameswara Arts production values tend to be rich.

Analysis

While it is known that Dabangg is really a blockbuster hit, director Harish Shankar made ample changes for this remake script to suit the Telugu audiences taste and also the film will be liked by all mass film lovers. Gabbar Singh script had all the elements necessary for commercial entertainer and when Power Star Pawan Kalyan walked in, the expectations were at peaks and director Harsih Shankar lived as much as the expectations by taking the originality in Dabangg and adding elegance and Telugu flavour into it, say for instance Kabaddi fight and Antyakshari sequences. Pawan Kalyan trustworthy in director abilities and Harish Shankar believed within Pawan Kalyan’s style, charisma and his energy levels and Gabbar Singh led to an effective output.

Dialogues are one of the actual major highlights, punch liners like “Nenu time national insurance nammanu naa timing ni nammuthanu”, “Perantam annaka aadollu, Pekata annaka policelu ravadam common”, "charitra gurinchi chatha buttalu gurinchi nenu pattinchukonu... inch Brahmi saying, “Meemalini Ayudala tho kadhu vayidhala tho champestha” had been hilarious and punchy.

The first half of the film is full of full dosage of entertainment, heroism, dances and sufficient comedy. Entire first half runs on rapid pace and it is totally entertaining. Second half moves on a bit slow pace however the entertaining dialogues lifted the tempo and elevated the actual scenes.
