New Delhi: State-run Rural Electrification Corporation, said Wednesday its net profit rose almost 13 percent year on year to Rs 661.96 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The company had reported a net profit of R 587.36 million rupees for the June quarter of the previous fiscal Corporation, rural electrification, said in a regulatory filing. The company's total revenues increased to Rs 2372.88 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2011, from Rs 1928.77 crore a year ago, the additional information.
The company's shares were trading at Rs 193.20, nearly 3 percent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Wednesday. More than 4.60 lakh shares of the company changed hands in the bag on Wednesday.
