Crude oil prices fell by 0.63% to Rs 3,937 per barrel in futures decline on profit booking

Raw oil prices fell by 0. 63% to Rs 3, 937 per gun barrel in futures trade today as speculators booked profits, even as the prices rose in Asian trade.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil with regard to delivery in October fell by Rs 26, or 0. 65%, to Rs 3, 967 for each barrel, with a trading volume of 191 lots.

Similarly, the oil with regard to delivery in September lost Rs 25, or 0. 63%, to Rs 3, 737 for each barrel, with a turnover of 2, 589 lots.

Market analysts said profit-booking through speculators weighed on crude oil prices in futures trade here, but a greater trend in Asian trade due to uncertainty over supplies from Libya, limited the losses.

Meanwhile, New York's main contract crude for October delivery flower 14 cents to $85. 30 a barrel in the Asian region these days.
