The healthiness of anti-graft crusader Anna Hazare, who has been fasting for the past nine days demanding a powerful Lokpal, is alright, one of his close aides said today.
"He is alright at the moment. He is taking rest. A team of doctors is continuously monitoring him or her, " Manish Sisodia, a close associate of Hazare told reporters.
Hazare offers lost 5. 6 kg since he began his fast on August 16 and traces of ketone were also present in his blood.
The social activist had disregarded doctor's advice yesterday to be placed on Intravenous (IV) drip and refused to take any medicine. He had also warned government against attempting to forcibly evict him from the protest site of Ramlila Maidan here.
A team of doctors headed by Naresh Trehan had advised Hazare to obtain hospitalised, but the Gandhian refused to do so.
"The entire team offers examined Anna Hazare. There are changes in his vital signs. We told him he needs hospitalisation. But he refused saying I want to be here using the people, " Trehan had said.
Meanwhile, another close aide of Hazare Arvind Kejriwal said these were waiting for the government's response on yesterday's talks on their demands within the Jan Lokpal Bill.
"We are waiting for government response. We held an in depth discussion with government representative yesterday. We have already given them our demand on paper. They had told us to revert by today... " Kejriwal said.
"We would like that government should accept all our demands. We have raised certain points which have to be answered by them. Both the Jan Lokpal Bill and Judicial Accountability Bill need to be passed by Parliament together, " Kejriwal said when asked about when the actual 73-year-old Gandhian would end his fast.
